tummy tub

Asher received a Tummy Tub as a gift from his Wilkinson grandparents at my baby shower last October.

I hadn't ever seen one before and was a little skeptical of its safety and practicality. Basically it's a bucket that you put some warm water in to soak and bathe the baby.

It is suppose to simulate a "womb-like" atmosphere and be very soothing to babies.

We gave it a try the other evening and Asher loved it!

It really is impossible to clean him while in it, but it was great for relaxation. Asher seemed very comfortable and liked having his torso covered with water.

I was a nervous wreck -- terrified that I'd slip and his head would go under. Despite this fear, we'll definitely use it again, especially once he gets a little more head control!
