All last week Asher had been waking up at night screaming bloody murder. The only thing that seemed to calm him is if we sat up together in the rocking chair. Then, as soon as I'd try to lay him back down he'd start crying all over again. This was the clue I had two weeks ago that led us to the Pediatrician and his first-ever ear infection.
On Thursday Asher finished his last dose of Amoxicillan and although I was praying his symptoms would abate that night - it wasn't meant to be. The next morning, after yet another, long tear-filled night I took Asher back to the doctor for another ear check.
Wouldn't you know...his infection was worse than ever. The Amoxicillan did nothing to clear up his ear. Poor, poor baby!
We left with a prescription for a stronger antibiotic and high hopes for a quick recovery.
Two days later we've had TWO great night's sleep and things seem to be looking up!
Believe it or not, this wasn't the most exciting thing to happen this weekend. More to come!

I cannot believe how big he has gotten! Hoping the nightmares subside!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about his ear infection! Hopefully this antibiotic does the trick and he'll never have another ear infection again.
ReplyDeleteAnd what's the big news?!? Did he start walking?!?!
Ear infections are the worst! We've spent many a nights sleeping in the rocking chair or propped up in the guest room because Noah wouldn't sleep without us. It gets better! Hoping the antibiotics do their job quickly and you'll all on the mend:)
ReplyDeletePoor Mister A. Ear infections, bullies in the park. Man...., the life of a toddler ain't all puppies & naps, is it? :)
