Drew and I had our jerseys on and we were watching Super Bowl XLIII with rapt attention. It started out great -- the Steelers took an early lead and seemed strong.
Then the Cardinals kept breaking through the offensive line and sacking Big Ben. Fortunately he really is Big Ben, so they couldn't break him.
They did stop him from making quite a few passes though.
Once the Cardinals started thinking they could actually win this thing and started making touchdowns, well, then it got really stressful.
We can only blame ourselves.
Drew and I know better, but despite this knowledge, we....changed seats for the 4th quarter!
Big mistake.
You never, ever change seats or get up to use the bathroom or refill your drink or DO ANYTHING DIFFERENT when your team is leading the Super Bowl.
Thanks to the pure athletic prowess of Santonio Holmes, our blunder didn't ruin things for everyone.
Way to go, Pittsburgh.
