Drew ended up taking Asher most days since I was caring for (read: nursing) Hadley. Little miss didn't mix with the beach too well, so she and I spent a good amount of time hanging out at the house.
with some company. :-)
The few times she did make it to the coast she spent her time under the umbrellas, surrounded by admirers.
Of course, I managed to get down to the beach a couple times and loved seeing how much Asher has warmed up to the ocean in the past few months! This week, in particular, he loved splashing in the water.
The Charleston coast has wide, wide beaches with a lot of shallow water - perfect for kids!
All of the boys spent a lot of time digging trenches, building castles, and, in general, working until they got really sweaty - then swimming. ha!
(no, Asher isn't out there. He is still a strictly, jump-the-waves-on-shore kind of guy)

Such a fun week - can't wait for next year when Miss Hadley will be able to play and enjoy the shore as well!
