We celebrated Hadley's first Easter with Drew's family in New Jersey.
That's a 9 hour car ride from here with no stops. We made 4 stops on the way there and 5 stops on the way home = 11 hours. In the car. With a baby and a toddler.
Needless to say, we survived, but won't be doing it again any time soon! ha!
Our Easter visit had the ulterior motive of throwing a surprise 40th wedding anniversary party for Drew's parents. So fun!
Wrangling these two in a restaurant when one wouldn't nap for all the excitement {ahem, H} and the other just wanted to run around meant that I got no pictures while there. A bummer, but not exactly unexpected. I did, however, get some shots of the grandkids seeing their great-grandparents at their nursing home when we visited right before the party.
{Asher was in NOT cooperation mode. Boo 3 year old}
How special is it that they will always have these photos? I love it.
The girls are slowly catching up to the boys!
We spent a really fun couple of days playing with our nephews and meeting our newest niece, sweet baby Brynn.
What a difference a couple of months makes in babies. Brynn is 6 weeks old and content to rest peacefully on Grandpa's shoulder.
Hadley on the other hand was constantly trying to launch herself off to see what was going on everywhere else. Check out that Superman pose - wow!
Asher wasn't impressed by the baby {except when we left and she stayed behind - ha!} but he l-o-v-e-d playing with his big cousins. Being one of the big kids was pretty cool for him.
Since Drew had to work on Monday we had to drive home on Sunday, so we didn't get to go to church like we really wanted. Despite this I'm so glad we were able to make the trip and celebrate all weekend with our family. Only a few months until our beach trip when we get to see everyone again!
