Our first stop inside the gates was to say hi to Shamu - who Asher called "shampoo" all day - ha!
Next we went to the dolphin show to see all the flips and jumps they had to offer.
I missed most of it because I was too busy watching Asher watch the show. I love seeing him in awe of a new experience - this is my favorite part of being a mommy. It makes me want to give him everything!
After the dolphins we got our seats for the Shamu show.
Asher knew a little more of what to expect with this show and couldn't contain his anticipation before it started. :-)
Once the orcas were done we grabbed lunch and saw the sea lion show, but then the weather deteriorated dramatically - it poured. And poured. Boooo. A lot of the exhibits were closed because of lightening and, sadly, we didn't get to do too much else. Hadley spent most of the day in the Baby K'Tan with me and luckily she slept from time to time in there {and stayed dry}.
We were able to see the underwater Orca viewing before leaving, which Asher l-o-v-e-d!
I really wish we could have optimized our visit by riding some rides or seeing more animals up close, but you can't control the weather - especially when you plan a trip 4 months in advance. Asher had fun and didn't know what he was missing, so that was the most important part to me. He even got to take "baby shampoo" home with him. Ha!
A whole week of Florida fun was still to come, so we weren't too depressed by our sodden day at Sea World. Hey, at least the crowds were nonexistent! More vacation posts to come!
OMG...looks like he had a blast! Love the pics and it makes me ubber jealous, I want to go back soon!
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun! We are going to San Diego next month and debating a trip to Seaworld. Love that cute whale shirt too! :)
ReplyDelete"Shampoo"! Ha - so adorable! We took Ava last April, and she LOVED it. We're actually kicking around a trip in early June, but unfortunately it is already getting too hot here for little A :(
