It feels good to be home. We're unpacked, the laundry is done and things are slowly getting back to normal.
Of course, we did have a little {bad} excitement yesterday when we came out from brunch and our car wouldn't start. That surprise involved a tow truck, an emergency call to my dad, and distracting a very tired toddler in a diner for an hour or so - fun times. It could have been worse and I'm grateful for the really kind people at Gypsy's Shiny Diner who let us hog their bar stools and gave us free drinks while we waited for help. If you're ever in Cary, NC go there! :-)
On to the better news - our vacation! I'd say Asher's favorite part of being in Florida was the easy pool access. You don't get much closer than right out of the the back door. He was a little less than confident at first.
But eventually gathered his courage and climbed into the hot tub portion. We kept the heater off and it was a perfect kid pool for him!
He loved splashing with us
and throwing balls for Drew to fetch. :-)
and "watering" the water. What is it about dumping water that is so fascinating? ha ha
I can't figure out why, but I think he looks so old in this photo. Love it and hate it at the same time.
So fun!
